Please, please can someone help?

Having major problems as my 93 manual NA supra will not idle below 2000rpm even when engine is warm. First problem happened 3 months ago, id start engine and it would serge from 1000 to 2000 about 4 or 5 times and then settle about 800 when warm. Second problem which lasted for about 2 weeks was i had no cold start, car would just stall unless you used some revs and then it would be fine when warm. Third and current problem which toyota are having problems with is the 2000+rpm. Have tried resetting ECU with no luck. any idea? anyone, please!

ok well so you know first of all, the Normal cold idle on the NA is around the 1800 - 2000RPM mark and of course should then fall. Sorry i cant help any mroe but it useful information so you know when you have fixed the problem and you think its come back!

from what your saying though, it sounds like the cold start system isnt deactivating and therefore keeping the idle higher. someone more technical be along soon :)

Just been tinkering as you do, checked all your suggestions best i could and this is what i found, next to the throttle sensor is the Idle Speed Control to which i removed the electrical connection block and started my car and it made no difference whether it was connected or not. Surely it would have done if ISC was outputting? Should i just go ahead and order a new one or can i test it in any way?

Cheers for all your ideas!
