imi
Question: as I have RLTC in my car and I have disconnected the toyota crappy traction system, I was thinking of using the TRACTION button as a push to make button to power my CARPC. Can this button be used as a push to make?
Steve
I dont beleive the switch actually stays locked in the 'made' position. I think it just sends a signal to the ECU which does all the switching. Have never checked this with a meter to confirm though.
imi
I see. bearing in mind that my ECU is an AEM ECU and I dont really care about the stock traction system, should I go ahead and butcher the switch or not?

It would have gone to the TRAC ECU not the main one. You could always get a blank plate like the others and cut your own switch into the plate. I did this for a switch for the aerial as my head unit wouldn't operate it correctly.
