ajazyasin
Ive recently installed a Link G4 which has a built in 2.5 absolute MAP sensor(so 1.5bar). I'm running a Greddy T78 with 750cc inj.(full setup in profile) do you think i would need to boost above 1.5bar? How much power would a t78 make at 1.5bar? thanks:) Edited December 26, 2008 by ajazyasin (see edit history)
imi
do a search for a thread called ECU register for starters....... do another search for the efficiency range of the T78
ajazyasin
vhecked the register before but only a few run em and doesn't really mention what boost they are mapped to. Efficiency didn't seem to pull anything unless im not using correct search criterion?

Ryan.G
I normally find on the 2jzgte that 1.5bar is the "sweet spot" in terms of power, torque and knock resistance. Power wise i would expect around 600- 650bhp and 450- 480ftlb at 1.5bar with the stock rpm limit.. but its hard to say as many factors can change things. What Ignitor and coils will you be running as you might run into Ignition problems running wasted spark with the Link G4. Will be interesting to see how the Link G4 also copes with the siemen injectors as i normally find you need a peak and hold injection system to control them well around Idle. I think you might struggle with them espically as you will have to run batch injection as well with the G4. Ryan
ajazyasin
Thanks Ryan. Im using a HKS twinspark re. wasted spark. Rev limit should be around 8200-8500rpm. I really hope the injectors dont pose a problem. f
Ryan.G
What coils and Ignitor will you be using though as you wont need the DLI if you are using a "dump" ignitor. Will you be mapping it yourself? As i think you are going to struggle with the injectors and acceleration enrichment as well with the Big intake and batch injection. No point you reving it that high as the VE with the cams you have will be dropping by 7500rpm and the power will tail off im sure. ajazyasin
Thanks for the advice on the rev limit! Ill make sure that is adhered to:) If by 'coils and ignitors' you mean the coil packs then its the standard kit. I wish i was closer to yourself but im up in edinburgh so i will have to get it mapped up here. I wouldn't know where to start!
Ryan.G
If you get stuck give us a shout as i come up to Scotland about every other month. Gruggs has a good dyno contact which i used last time with Supratoy's car and worked really well as was near glasgow airport Ryan
