adnanshah247
Hello folks, a few quick answers required please. About 6 months ago i bought a set of J-spec turbos from a friend and had to have them fitted as my current ones had a lot of play etc. Now unfortunately i cant get hold of my friend as i think hes away on holiday or something so thought i'd ask you guys. Basically when i was having a look on the turbos i noticed that the actual fins/blades inside the turbo were different to each other. now im not sure if they are supposed to be like this but could anybody help? are they supposed to be different? what will happen if they are bolted on like the way they are? Thanks. Attached below are photos of the turbos so that you can see what im talking about. Adzy
Swampy442
Were they removed as a pair? Maybe ones been rebuilt with a different compressor? I dunno if its just the perspective but turbo one looks bigger than turbo 2.

Chris Wilson
Turbo one has been rebuilt, it doesn't look as if it's been balanced, either, no grinding marks on the compressor wheel nut, which is where they remove material to balance the rotating parts. Will probably have different flow rates. Safest course is two new ceramic ones from Toyota, IMO.
