Car scratched - bad.

Once they have seen the damage the 250 wont be on offer. It will be the 750.

hmm...

two options

1) we fork out the 250 and get it fixed by monday (when the car needs to be return) - pushing it

2) go to return the car on monday and haggle for our dear life...

haggling wont be an option.

As far as i see it, get the car dirty and keep your fingers crossed (doubt it will work)

or

Pay the 250 and risk it turning to 1000 instead of 250.

Let's look at it from a different perspective. What if this car was a your Supra that you'd entrusted to a garage to look after and it got scratched while it was in their care. How would you feel if they got it touched up and didn't tell you? You'd all be pretty p*ssed off wouldn't you. You signed a legally binding contract to look after this car while it was in your care. Take the punishment. Sorry that's life.

You are a good person so I don't doubt you'll do the right thing. But should you take the opportunity to run into the back of a mates vehicle then at least you'd get the benefit of a shared whiplash claim as lets face it 750 is the tops they can charge you regardless of if you trouser it on the way back to the hire car place.

Funny, I get all these great ideas after a couple of bottles of wine, did I tell you about the one with the local Post Office, a Supra & 2 shotguns? :D

:rlol:

She went to the rental place and told them about it today. apparently 15 of their cars were attacked that night in a similar way; they have their own CCTV camera and will look into it on monday

Good on her for doing the right thing. How unfortunate that you are on the end of there problems with someone. :(

Or gas it and go up to Santa Pod :) For some reason after seeing some crazy yanks do it, it seems like a mad enough idea :) (As you say, get your £750's worth :))
