hogmaw
OK while I am at it with 3 way mini-roundabouts, here is another one. Can someone please explain the logic of why at some traffic lights there are lights with green directional arrows, but not red ones? Confront a driver a green arrow light and a solid red light at the same time and you will more often than not get hesitation and confusion - it means 'stop' and 'go' at the same time. I often see drivers getting beeped cos they haven't seen the green arrow and are stopped at red. Or they turn right at a green 'straight on' arrow because there was no 'red arrow' light to stop them. Why not have red arrow lights too? Almost every other country in the world has them, but it seems that they are too sensible for us stubborn brits. Ok rant over. I will think of something else again soon. Probably speed bumps. Again.
erol_h
ive seen that alot of people by mistake turn left or right when only the green straight comes on usually into people that are crossing. Ive been caught out by them once or twice bloody annoying
