They did a small guide on basic operation called the pilot i think which really helps with basic programing. If you get heidenhain control i'll happily pop up and go through it with you. I have been very tempted to get a basic CNC capable mill for a while, I like the ability to do things like drilling disc bells and lightening heavy bits of material easily, am I mad, not yet being proficient on a manual machine? You cant beat a small cnc mill for drilling multiple holes easily and accurately. The hardest part for a beginner will be getting your spindle speeds and feeds right.
