paul mac
long shot, but has anyone got one lying around, cash waiting
Chris Wilson
I finally contacted Arnout about 3 weeks ago, he no longer does these unless you want to order about 5 of them. So it looks as if a used or unwanted new one from a third party are your only options He was miffed that the Chinese were doing poor copies of lots of his stuff. Alex
Chris, Out of interest, which companies would you approach to make one from scratch? (Cast mani that is).

paul mac
Wez being the resident cast manifold guru , i am seriously considering going this route what are your thoughts on http://www.treadstoneperformance.com/product.phtml?p=325&phot_key=893 ,these look reasonable with a considerable amount of "meat" round the wastegate area to head off the overboost issues associated with some manifolds, i know the Arnout manifold is the definative solution but they are getting hard to get hold of
Chris Wilson
Having a one off done will cost a big packet. Copying an existing one a smaller packet. For a one off it would be a lot cheaper to have a proper tubular one made in Inconel, with proper supporting bracketry (under 4500 quid, dropping substantially for a small run of them). Looks like a modded turbonetics which is similar to mine, the wastegate area on that looks huge though. A while back there was another cast manifold being flashed about which had round shapped runners, I havent been able to find it since

paul mac
SPA Turbo Manifold have seen that one, looks a good shape but call me old fashioned but i like my wastegate at the bottom , mind you it would be unique having the wastegate tube sticking out of the bonnet

Chris Wilson
See if they'll say whether it's made of Ni-Resist cast iron, a high nickel content alloy that's designed for high heat applications. Normal grey iron may well crack, or distort. The reason stock TT manifolds, and stock Skyline GTR manifolds don't crack, warp or cause ANY issues is they are made of Ni-Resist. Chris Wilson
Just price up getting some very low volume patterns and castings done in decent material, then it'll seem like a bargain

paul mac
didn't need to bother with the email they post it on their site, which i suppose is to their credit http://redhat3.admarkonline.com/~treadstone/prod_imgs/installation/ul/install-14.pdf
Chris Wilson
Shame they aren't high nickel cast iron, but the design looks quite good, and if it cracks they promise replacement. I'd be tempted to give it a go

paul mac
Wez Am i right in thinking you made 590hp on the Induction Motorsport manifold which was a Turbonetics which would appear is now a Treadstone Performance , this detective work is giving me a head ache, or is the 590hp on the Arnout manifold
