ilicos
http://www.thistle.com/hotels/trafalgar/ Probably the most central hotel in london.
GazB
Stayed at the Hilton Park Lane earlier in the year, good room and could see Buck palace from balcony, taxi or walk up Oxford Street into centre of London, a short walk into Mayfair back streets for interesting eating and small pubs or Harrods isn't that far to walk. Breakfast was a bit expensive so make sure you get a B&B deal when sorting room rate
GeordieSteve
Hilton is looking the perfect option. Quite cheap as well as far as London hotels go
caliAl
Besure you check any hotel out on http://www.tripadvisor.com/ before you book
supra_aero
LOL the Dorchester will have a Bugatti Veyron outside, it is normally there all the time, so you can imagine the cost of that place. I saw an Enzo outside it last time I was there. Why do you want to stay at pretentious hotels anyway? I recommend the Malmaisson near St. Pauls. They have a stunning romantic suite - only 1 romantic room in the entire hotel though. Its complete with a wooden bath with a built in tv and a remote control that floats on water. Niiice. GeordieSteve
I'm going with the ex... I don't think she'd appreciate the romantic room pmsl I've stayed in the Malmaison in Newcastle a few times (clearly very drunk... £300 a night and I live 5 minutes away in a taxi) and it's always been a very very nice hotel
supra_aero
Yes it is pricey - I was there on some corporate thing. Very tasteful though.
