Thorin
Yeah I know, it was a response to Thorin's 'You're wrong' then 'You're right' posts. Except that his first post never said "'normal' that you get on petrol forecourts" he only clarified that later. You can try to be funny all you like, I'm never wrong. caseys
Tesco 99 ron for me all the time. It gets you well pissed!!!! well off your head anyway? We had a tramp/vagrant type bloke that was banned from the local petrol stations up by my mate's uni. He was going up to the pumps and started drinking the petrol. And I thought the attendants looked before they pressed the button to start the pump. We were trying to find him to ask if the flavours varied between station and grade of RON. And if he'd tried diesel or LPG. http://xo.typepad.com/blog/2005/02/man_banned_from.html Even though mine's a UK spec, I'm running 99RON as running a single. I'd be interested to know how many single-spec people are running 97 or V or that insanely costly BP 103/105?

Thorin
I also read tesco fuel is actually bad for your motor, something to do with the amount of addatives they do or dont put in???? Rubbish, all fuels have to meet certain standards.
AndrewOW
I also read tesco fuel is actually bad for your motor, something to do with the amount of addatives they do or dont put in???? Someone once told me that all the petrol company lorries go to their allocated depots, and will fill up from whichever supply is going for the cheapest at the time (so they can make a little extra money on the side, allegedly). Its only after they have the petrol on board is when they add their 'special' mix of chemicals to the fuel which defines the 'quality' and 'uniqueness' of the fuel IIRC. I've ONLY ever used Tesco 99 for the 2.5 years I've had the car, and I've never had any issues whatsoever (so far anyway ).
