Normal = 95RON most Tesco grages still have boring 97RON as their SUL, some Tesco garages have the 99RON SUL. There are different octane ratings for the different SUL fuels Tesco sell. There are different octane ratings for the different SUL fuels Tesco sell. Actually, normal unleaded is "at least" 91RON. Premium unleaded at least 95RON, and Super Unleaded at least 97RON. Nowhere has normal unleaded anymore though.

Nowhere has normal unleaded anymore though. So you're saying that the 'normal', plain, bog standard unleaded you get on forecourts is 95RON then? Thorin
So you're saying that the 'normal', plain, bog standard unleaded you get on forecourts is 95RON then? Yes.
AlexM
So you're saying that the 'normal', plain, bog standard unleaded you get on forecourts is 95RON then? How does it feel to be right and wrong at the same time?
SteveR
How does it feel to be right and wrong at the same time? Huh? I said 'normal' unleaded found at the pumps is 95RON, and it is.

caseys
Remember the issue some fuel supplies had with a dodgy batch of fuel? I believe Tesco was amongst the distributors. It had I think bad levels of benzene, killed off peoples cats/lambdas. http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/talking_point/6405973.stm
Konrad
V-Power costs 94.9 in Wolves, so for a sake of 2p per litre I think i will stay with Shell

Mike
or bp ever since that i never use tesco Whatever the explanation is (and I honestly don't think we're going to hear it) - would you trust the opinion of a man who constructs his sentences as per the above? supra_aero
You say you dislike Tesco, but Shell garages (most of them mind) have annoyingly high or badly sculptured speed humps or entrances which cause scrapes. Almost all have them, despite the fact they know high performance cars which are usually low crave shell optimax. WHY Shell!?!
ivan
I stick to Tesco 99 whenever I can. Good value and good performance, and it sticks it to the bigger oil companies if more people buy from cheaper outlets too.
