HKS or Exedy twin plate > ?

Ok as some of you know I need to upgrade my clutch.

I am either thinking HKS twin disk or an exedy twin disk.

I think the HKS twin is progressive but Im not sure. ?

I want a daily drivale setup that does not sound like a bag of shit, My old fidanza FW and RPS stage 3 sounded really shitty! chattering so loud it was just not on!

Im looking for a slippable clutch for London traffic but it has to be able to hold 600 RWHP.

Anyhow could some one in the know point me in the right direction?

C.

I'm going for a SouthBend Kevlar DXD when mine gives up the ghost. Probably with a stock flywheel.

Reasons why...it will take the power and it's as light a pedal as stock. Being a wimp pedal pressure was important :D

If you can afford it though...RPS Carbon twin disc (see the MVP website). Or the Tilton. Personally I've not heard great things about the drivability of the two you mentioned.

Does this help???

Pretty much made my mind up after a good telephone conversation.

Im sticking with Stock Flywheel as Im a poser and dont want my baby chattering away

Im getting the Horsepower freaks Bronze setup...

This is a brand new clutch compound that is capable of withstanding very high pressures with no chatter. It is on the HPF Supra, and easily holds 650+rwhp w/Southbend PP. 800+rwhp w/RPS PP. the non-sprung disk for a stock flywheel, or a sprung disk with a lightened flywheel.

We were quite amazed with this clutch after doing several 7,500rpm launches with no break-in whatsoever. The clutch not only survived this, but 15 full passes with no slippage, and no chatter even right after a full pass. This clutch is still not slipping even today.

Please install unsprung disk with pointed center facing rear. Install sprung disk with spring side facing rear.

REBUILDABLE: $100 to have new pucks installed on your old HPF Disc. (Takes 2 weeks once it arrives back to us)

Sounds just up my street. Im gett5ing the south bend pressure plate as the RPS makes my leg dead. Been there done that..

The RPS used to make me laugh in London... It was really killer!!

Just spoke to some people in the US the South Bend makes the peddal feel ever so slightly more..

Almost the same as my RPS street Pressure plate, but I explained exactly what I was looking for and they told me to go for this setup HANDS DOWN!

I tried an Exedy in a customers car a few months ago, I can safely say its the worst clutch I've ever used, heavy and zon off switch. If you want a decent twin plate go with an OS Giken. Why not just fit an RPS Max series street? That will be well up to the job with the mods you have, unless your planning something in future that is.
