ClaireRZ-S
Ok i just have began to notice a squeaking noise which i think is coming from the front of the wheels not sure though. When im in 4th gear and am at about 3k revs you can hear the squeak constant if i drive it on a bit and break slighty you can hear it. Didn't hear this when i got the car but seems to start happening in the cold weather and haven't been on a long journey in the soop to see if it stops when it warms up . Just wondering what ye thinks i should check to see if i can figure out what it is. Chris thinks its the brakes but i just wanted to know what to get checked. thanks
Konrad
Pads are wearing off and shims starting to squeak to warn about it
Homer
Pads are wearing off and shims starting to squeak to warn about it Although I'm not sure shims is the right word to describe it. Many pads have those feeler tabs that scrape the disc to warn of imminent pad runout
gordy07
Yeah i would say pads although i changed all mine and still get a rubbing sound from the rear which i think may be the handbrake shoes needing replaced
