Brakes all round

Ok so looks like i need to do a brake upgrade all round.

I have some questions and hope you guys can help....

I have a Jspec with Jspec brakes at the moment.

Should I just buy new pads and disks?

Should I buy a UK upgrade?

Has anyone got a UK set?

How much will it cost me?

Should I buy an aftermarket upgrade?

Which one to go for?

How much do different sets cost?

Once I made my decision Where could I get them fitted

Thanks in advance

Sandy

Got quoted £580 for UK fronts the other day from Toyota. Think that is with a discount too! Included calipers, disk's and fittings. Pads were going to be from Chris Wilson so would have been around £700 overall!

I agree with James, CW pads and Goodridge lines. Job's a good-un :D

Although if you fancy a new set of disk's they are around £60 each from Mr T

I have a complete USED Rear Setup, and they are in very good condition. The Calipers are already painted in RED and beautifully done, and I intend to spray a TRD emblem on it too. So thats Discs, Calipers, Pads, all the fittings.

I intend to spray a TRD emblem on them too. So thats Discs, Calipers, Pads, all the fittings for UK upgrade on teh back. If you were close enough I could fit them too. Remember if you do upgrade to larger calipers and discs like the UK spec you will need a little work done to the Dust shields to make fit. I have done it a couple of times now and it is easy but if you are not sure what you are doing it should be done by someone with a good background and experience.

IMO just go for the first post and upgrade your Jspec however with 19" wheels they do look rather pathetic, which is why I upgrade everytime.

Hope this helps

Thanks for you offer Nick

Do you have a price in mind? Have you done the fronts before as well? where are you based?

Thanks

Sandy

Ive done both front and backs a couple of times now and have some pics on here somewhere of my second time. I have just purchased a brand new set for my new supe and had previously purchased a second hand set for it too. The offer on the new ones was so good I decided to finish off the refurb on the second hand ones and sell on. The Fronts have already gone (see my feedback on them) but rears still here hence my reply. I also have one set of Front discs too, again used but perfect for a cheap upgrade IMO.

I am down in the Midlands so too far for you unless you want a weekend down here at some time. I did not realise where you were when I first posted. Sorry. I won't be fitting mine till the spirng either cos I don't like working on the car in the cold weather.

I am looking for around £300 but for this you do get a sweet looking set of calipers done by myslelf, used but good pads, all the clips pins etc and if you want, two sets of Rear Discs just in case you would like to get one set skimmed somewhere and maybe drilled too if that is possible.

If you like I can send you some pics, just PM me your email address and I will get some up to date pics for you.

Regards

Nick
