benkei
So who's left? Citreon and Ford... Exciting. How many were there to start with? Does anyone know?
adnanshah247
woooow! rallying is going to be rubbish without the scoobys. its going to turn into the touring cars scenario. all the major cars pull out leaving the vauxhalls only. in this case with rallying i think we will be down to all the citroens. I was planning on going to the WRC next year.... seems pointless now
AJI
well not really a surprise.... their current car is a laughing stock and I think they were not a team with much confidence. The organisors of the WRC have always wanted to create an environment which suited privateer teams more than manufacturers... I hope they can now see how bleeding boring it is all going to be with just $hitroen and Ford competing for 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th It seems to all be going down the pan with top level motorsport at the moment.... as soon as the FiA look at 'making things better' they screw it up. There are far too many rules and so called 'cost cutting measures'... and it interferes with the competing nature of the manufacturers. And at the end of the day (

colsoop
Not entirely a bad thing... seems that its all going the way of the privateer teams and enthusiasts That is a serious suprise but having seen the newer design of the Subaru they seem to be trying to wean themselves off their rally routes and target the company car types. This will no doubt lead to a drop in audience numbers which leads to sponsors pulling out, not good
Gazboy
With sales 30% down world wide how many companies can justify motorsport when making 100's of thousands redundant?

hoff
It is a shame but as Graham said they will be using group N cars only soon. That should make things a little more interesting, and hopefully increase the number of manufacturers also.

mike_mcevoy
I bet Subaru's announcement will hit ProDrive in the pocket. I very much doubt it, only 20% of their total income comes from their WRC effort so even though it will be a big loss for the sport it wont really bother Prodrive. infact this mght open them up to buying Honda's F1 team? Homer
infact this mght open them up to buying Honda's F1 team? From their statement it certainly seems to be the case that they're interested in F1 once again... however I very much doubt they'll be be buying Honda due to the huge costs involved
