Guest lucky
My 95 na manual has an open diff. I want to buy a second hand lsd from a na. Does anyone know if there is a way of telling the difference so i don't get sold an open type. If it is off the car I might not be able to check the vin. supradriver
hold one side of the diff, then spin the other side and see if the side you are spinning spins. if it spins then its a LSD. Guest lucky
Thank you. I take it that if I get an lsd from a na manual it is just a bolt on job.

Yes, any diff apart from those from a 6spd will be a direct drop-in job. It's best to keep to one from an NA as it'll have the same ratio. If the previous owner of the new diff knows their axle code it should have a "b" as the final letter on the VIN.
