M3 Fleet Services Meet Monday 28th

NEO

Recommended Posts

I thought I would see how many people would be interested in meeting up on Bank Holiday Monday 28th at the Fleet services West bound along the M3. We can meet there first at around 12pm then have a convoy down the M3 and back to finish off at the Heron On The Lake pub which serves lovely food and is set next to a lake and has plenty of parking available. I understand that many of you may have plans already for the Easter break but it would be great to see as many of you as possible especially after the great turnout last year.

Please add your name to the list if interested and I hope to see you all there.

Hi Soo,

The pub is just off the Fleet junction 4a East bound towards London hence why we will have to travel down the M3 west bound and do a u-turn to get back to the correct junction, plus it is a good excuse for a bit of a drive. The pub used to be called Dakota's but has now changed hands to a Chef and Brewer. Good food and most important plenty of parking with great views over the lake. Just follow the signs for Fleet. Hope you can make it Soo with your other half.

I'd come up but some git has mullared my pride and joy and it makes me cry just to look at it myself never mind a whole meet lookin at it. On a positive note I organised one at fleet services last year and it was a great success. Its easy to get to easy to find and the lorry park is massive so easy to park all the cars near each other and have a look about them.

The lorry car park has now gone and been replaced with a shell garage but there is still plenty of places at the front of the services just as you drive in plus it is much closer to the services facilities. The car park at the pub is also a really good size and as it is set next to the lake. I am sure that we could get some really good pics of the cars next to the lake. Just hope more of you can come along to make it a great day.

Hi Katie,

It would be great to see you guys again, thanks for coming along and making the effort. It is looking like a good crowd of the usuals who meet at the Fairmile at the moment which is always a good sign. Look forward to seeing you on Monday.

I'll probably be there. As long as you promise not to take the piss out of the small scrape on my front bumper where I had a slight parking misjudgement the other day. :blonde: At least I was thinking of turning up until I just saw that last post... :limp:

I know that pub, I was there a couple of weeks ago - have a friend who lives in Fleet.

First post meet Post !!

Had a really nice afternoon thanx...

Thanks to Neo for suggesting it.

Won't do a list of name cos you know you were there, but really nice to meet up with you all again.

Nice following you back Simon, thinking - "we look like that" :D :D :D

Dropped Sue of in Salisbury as planned and had a brill blast over the downs from Shrewton to Warminster being followed by a 911 (996) Turbo giving it some.

Couldn't shake him off, but he was trying very hard to "own" me, but failed

He pulled in to our village and we had a quick natter, he said that the Supe couldn't have been standard and he was "very impressed" !

Seemed a nice bloke (but anybody does who likes the Supra's) .

Just looked his motor up and it's 420 BHP four wheel drive and lots & lots of dosh !

Think he could have took me on a bigger road, but not today !!!!

Brill....

PS, Sue's looked in her diary and the Fairmile night is free..... :)
