RobSheffield
Apart from Supragold and JohnDMKiv, does anyone else have this clutch? I am concerned by reports of them grenading in the States, so need a bit of reassurance AFAIK they released a new kit called the strapless clutch cover or something. Perhaps that has solved the issues?
uk-rich
though there was a guy on supraforums, that had the new strapless one, and it blew up too
GazB
Kev has on of these in the Envy Supra, no problems there at suprapod he was telling me how good it is. I think Paul Whifin has one in his car as well. You could fit one of these, i think this would give protection if anything went wrong. RCI SFI 4.1 Multi Layer Transmission Blanket Transmission Blanket, Universal fit certified to SFI 4.1 specification in red nylon, 11 1/2 in. Width x 47 in. Length RCI's transmission blankets are water and oil-resistant, and are made of high-tensile webbing and steel. They offer added protection from a name you can trust. JamieP
TF greg destroyed a couple of these but then envy has run one for years with no problems, tbh at the T67 power level i dont see the point in going with an expensive noisy clutch when an RPS streetmax with stock flywheel can handle everything ive chucked at it and still drive like stock:)

RobSheffield
I may end up going with that Jamie. IV moved around at low speed in a T67 equipped with the 6 puck RPS clutch but i didnt like that. I guess if an RPS street can handle what you throw at it and survive, it will be good enough for me
tooquicktostop
RPS Street is a great clutch, I had a triple plate in my GTR and hated the way it drived, the RPS is as close to stock as it gets yet seems to handle all sorts of abuse, I would fit another one when this one gives up without question
Gaz Walker
Ours has been fine for years - had it fitted in early 2005 and its never missed a beat. The normal RPS Max Street will be fine on cars upto 550-600hp IMHO - thats what we ran with before with the T67 on ours and it took some serious abuse at Elvington for a couple of years before we upgraded. Chiefgroover
Why not have a lighter than stock pedal, more than enough holding for 600bhp at the wheels and smooth quiet engagement? Its called centerforce dual friction.
michel lane
i have had mine installed for the past 3 years , no problems at all . I think its down to the installers.
