The Raven
OK just been watching the Ginola muscle car, They claimed to have fitted a UNI SUPERCHARGER to a 944 and got 290 BHP out of it. Thats over 140 increase. The part came from norway. If it is infact a uni part one could be fitted to an n/a? Anyone else see it?
Ribenaberry
I saw this program too, and was thinking the exact same thing. Anyone with tech knowledge out there?

The Raven
So i didnt miss hear it did i? They clearly said they could fit it to any car. The BHP increase was huge.
RobSheffield
Superchargers do increase power, but you need to upgrade the fuelling to match, and also need sundry supporting mods. Shane on here got close to a working S/C NA but was beset by problems. Unless of course this is about an electric S/C in which case its pants and a good job you aint in tech
tooquicktostop
I am pretty sure this has been discussed on the US forum quite a bit, it can be done at great expense but an NA-T or TT conversion would be a lot cheaper, reliable and easier

But it seemed to be a whole kit sitting on the work bench.
mwilkinson
I would take the power figures on the programme with a pinch of salt. On one of the episodes (Vegas/Golf episode) they claimed to have a Subaru STi engine, but it came from a standard WRX!!

They increased the power from 160 to 290 which was alot but not simply just a bolt on super charger.

RobSheffield
Here Like i care enough to search for it. One guy loses his engine to spark plug fail and you reckon TT's are unreliable? Numpty!

Dazzi
BTW I didn't say TT's are unreliable, I said NA-TT as in you don't know where the engine is from. Numpty!
RobSheffield
1 guy? Hmmm blue smoke and low compression is 1 guy... yea Well link to those you are talking of then, not just to search because you cant find anything. As any engine gets older it will smoke to a certain extent, just as wear n tear causes low compression. You really need to get a clue before you start to comment on how unreliable an engine may or may not be.

Everyone is entitled to an opinion on here (I think...)
