lucasl
I wouldnt sell my RX7 but my friend has offered to sell me his Supra for a good price and its a gunmetal grey which is the colour ive always wanted so unfortunatly the 7 has to go. Its a 1995 Black manual twin turbo link here http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/773141.htm The car runs well and although the milage is at 65000 which is the time they can start to need a rebuild this one runs fine, this could be due to it having a completly standard engine, even standard airbox and exhaust system. Before I bought the car in the first place I looked to see how much rebuilt engines cost and they start at £1800. The only addition the car has had since i bought it was a set of Tein Superstreets with top mounts that cost me over £700, the wheels on the car are rays cerumo which would have originaly cost a fortune. The interior is very clean no wear on seats etc, It has a HKS boost guage that is not working right, rear tyres are a bit low on tread. The private plate is included. I am located in Ringwood Hampshire, near Bournemouth First person to give me £3500 gets it

Todd
Arggh, why so far away Is it taxed and MOT'd?
dangerous brain
Now that is nice. Always liked the REX and would like to try one at some point. Knowing my luck of late though I'd have to do the engine about a day after I bought one

lucasl
I dont know allot about the model differences on these. What does the RB have or doesnt have compared to the other models? I don't really know either it just has type RB stamped on the door shut thing.
lucasl
apparantly Type RB means Type R Bathurst, which was something to do with the rotary winning at Bathurst 24hrs. That must put the value up on the car but as im a fair person il keep it at the bargain price of £4000
marc_p
Very tempted in this, I will have to asses my finances after christmas.
L33
free bump, the type r rx7s are ment to be the feastest model i believe. usually rx7s have 1.3 turbo engines, i think the type r ones are a 2.6 twin turbo?

monsween
no the 2.6 is the effective engine size because its rotary. Its still a 1.3 twin turbo. AFAIK

Ric
about rebuild time though?
Guest Garfy
Loverly car. 2.6 is a common mistake, I think it comes from people thinking a single rotor is 1.3, and with this having two rotors it must be 2.6, but its defo a 1.3, the clue is in the name of the engine 13b Type RB is lighter, if memory serves its got lighter seats, (which it has I can see that in the pictures) and has pockets where the rear seats should be (like glove boxes) I think a better cooling system and an extra oil cooler, and probably more.
