Dave222
I am thinking of upgrading my front brakes using the 356mm 8 pot K-Sport kit. I am running Ultralite Nurburg 18 X 8.5 inch rims with I think 35mm offset. Does anyone have that setup running, that is will these discs / callipers fit with these wheels.? Plus any advice on if I should upgrade my rears to match, already fitted with UK spec setup ? Cheers Dave.
Chris Wilson
I have to say that I am not sure if K-Sport calipers can really be called an upgrade Whether the K-Sport front calipers were designed to work with UK or J-Spec calipers is anyone's guess, probably including the manufacturers. The AP six pot set up was designed on a UK car, with UK rear calipers, and a specific and stated wheel rim, so at least they made a proper effort. pedrosixfour
I was told to steer clear of K Sport calipers especially if the car was going to see any sort of track action. The metal used alledgedly softens over time with hard use meaning reduced performance. Was told it mightn't be such an issue on a car used purely on the road, but still.... My apologies to any K-Sport stockists by the way, no harm intended.
