RedM
Seeing as how having a real Supra is some months away for me I thought I'd pass the time by getting a Tamiya kit of the mkIV. So far I've sprayed it a very nice shade of black and had a fun old time doing so (note to self: open window next time;)) but I've now decided I want proper wheels and a bodykit. Maybe lower it too. Does anyone on here make models or know where I can get model bodykits from? I can't find anything on t'internet! I'd actually be happy with just a decent set of wheels but again I can't find them for sale separately. I actually thought about fitting the Bomex Xmods kit to it but it is just a gnats chuff too narrow. Arse!! Any ideas?
SupraStar 3000
I remember reading a thread awhile ago regarding a very nice model Supra that someone had made and fitted with aftermarket parts onto a Tamiya Kit. The post had a link to a jap website that sold all the wheels and bodykits to most common scales like 1/45 etc. I couldn't find it when I searched. Maybe someone else knows
RedM
Nice one. I remember coming across one some months ago while looking for desktop size Supra pics. Can I find it now? Can I f***!
Aerotop Dave
Back when I harboured ambitions to be a professional model maker I used modelling putty to make various bits. You can buy some stuff from Humbrol that has a 'window' during it's drying phase where you can carve it into whatever shape you want. It goes into a state that's halfway between hard plastic and rubber. I modified several car model kits using this stuff to make bodykits and wings, etc.
