My house in wakefield, west Yorks

I know its the wrong time of year but I have had enough.

My house has been on the market from just before the credit crunch took hold and I now want to get it sold so I can get my arse moved to Oz. I was going to ride the crunch out but seeing as my circumstances changed so much this year and I lost everything that meant anything to me, whats a few quid in the grand scheme of things? This is the only reason its for sale.

Its a 2 bed end terrace and is ideal for first timers, as it was when I bought it. Easy access to the M1 and M62 so all the major cities in Yorkshire are about 30min drive... Manchester is only 50min.

Brand new double glazing on all but 2 windows...(ran out of money!) and they are 3 way sash windows so weren't cheap! New Upvc doors front and rear as well.

we put the kitchen in brand new about 2 years ago.

I was going to turn the cellar into a bar as its fairly watertight but finances haven't allowed it yet....

I am dropping the price this week to £119,500 which is a bargain for where I live and I wont actually see any return from this house.... I just need it gone so I can get on with my life.

There is no chain involved and I can move out straight away.. hence being sold as a vacant possession.

the main advert can be found here and any questions feel free to ask.

cheers folks

edit: redid the advert now I have calmed down..lol

Sorry to hear you have had a bad year..

As a side note, if a house sells through the supra owners club I will be most astounded.

To be honest i was happy just sitting back and riding through the credit crunch but I have pretty much lost everything that meant anything to me this year.... whats a few quid on a house in the grand scheme of things?

and you never know about the sale.... can but try and get people interested in it.

lol

Rent it out, wait through crunch and sell later on.

Thought of that but the rent wouldnt be enough to make it viable. Not only that but if its empty Im still paying for a mortgage i dont want.. wherever I am in the world! lol

Nice kitchen

ta! cost enough..:D

I used to live very close to your house. First lived in middlestown, then moved to Green Lane Horbury Junc, then moved south.

Did you go to Horbury School ?

I did indeed.... you should see it now! not 1 original building left and its becoming one of the first "super schools"

Looks like they have done a good job aswell.:)

  • 3 weeks later...

must admit, I would rent (always worth it in the long run) it out... I move from country to country, buying houses where ever I live and then move on to the next one :) Getting quite good at it, just deciding on the next country. Oz is great, I studied in Sydney, for 2 years, loved it!!

Good luck!!
