Gruggs
Ok Guys, Who was it??!! I had a phone call from a mate last night who lives in the flats just off the kingston bridge. He happened to be looking out the window at the slip road off the kingston bridge when he saw a black supe travelling backwards/sideways along the crash barrier! He says the guy carried on so wasnt too bad. So who was it? Cheers G

marcAB10
It was Aldo87, the back end slipped out under heavy breaking while the roads were wet/icey. Nothing was damaged and he is fine.

Sorry my mate will kill me if i dont say this as he looks at the board. He wanted me to say "if anyone mentions ice call them on it as I drove that road two mins before giving it the usual stick in the beemer and nothing....so they must have been really balls out going for it..not that that is a bad thing!" Glad to hear everyone was ok though. Must have been going some speed into the slip road and had to go on the anchors as I know the boy normally takes that slip road at about 60-70. Good to hear he's alright, no panel damage? (was sure I heard it thump barrier) I guessed they'd have had to been pretty hard on the brakes as I came round about 60 secs previous at 50 (-ish ) with no probs in the BMW. In fairness though, thats the second spin on there I've seen in 6 months living beside the bridge and right now I'm very warey of that slip since the Potenzas on the back of my BMW are chronic in the cold, even on fairly dry roads! Aldo87
looool yes it was me thanks marc for enlighting every1. The sum damage was a bit a paint work off the front bumper which is hardly noticable. I think the main reason i was going backwards was because of the crappy tyres of got on the back. If your mates got it on camera i would be gratefull if i could get a copy. Theres a traffic camera placed in the ideal place aswell that iv been trying to find footage from. Yeah i broke and before i knew it i was sliding or 'drifting as i like to call it lol' accross all the lanes and right into the cut-off.

I heard the tyre squeal and you were pretty much sideways when I'd spun round to see what was going on. Good to hear the car didnt pick up too much damage. If its any consolation it sounds good with whatever exhaust you're running! Thats quite funny though, I've always looked at that extra bit of tarmac and thought how it might be useful one day if I over cook it! The traffic camera there gets shown on the NADICs website but I dont know if it shows a clear image of the slip. You could always try contacting them, see what they say... (that makes perfect comedy in my head, duno if it works with anyone else ) I've spotted a bunch of the drifting guys meet at the quay every now and then. I was sauntering past one night steaming and spotted sideways steve in the restaurant with some other folk and a load of drifty wagons parked outside. Anyways, nah, wont be at any car meets for the foreseeable. Car is sick and I've got no time to get it sorted, possibly get it done over christmas. If its not useable and theres snow I'll be mighty pissed off! [My GT4 that is, the BMW might be a laugh...]
