Pixelfill
Anyone have any recommendations for the above? Closer to Preston the better. I need to get my geometry checked ASAP, is it something I should allow one of the tyre monkeys to do? Mike

Too many havent got a clue so it would pay you to go to somewhere that actually understands what there doing I let a local laser alignment tyre shop place set up a Corser i had repaired and it came out worse than it went in. Yeah, just as I thought, however I need to get it looked at urgently, so was an option. Pixelfill
I had a "mild excursion" this morning, and may have made "gentle contact" with a curb or 6 Mike
Dnk
I had a "mild excursion" this morning, and may have made "gentle contact" with a curb or 6 Mike Is there any obvious damage as i guess youve caught the kerb with a wheel or 2 or more. Pixelfill
As far as my eye can tell the car looks fine, I've ploughed the grass quite extensively, and the wheels are full of soil. The rims don't look bent, or kerbed, but I was doing 50 mph as I hit, so something must have taken the force of the impact. All in all I was lucky, but want it checked before I go too far and write off some brand new tyres due to bad tracking. Mike
Dnk
I take it you drove it home ? did it still drive straight and is the steering wheel still in the same place ? ie its not out of center, usually if you bend a wishbone etc the steering wheel will not be central when driving in a straight line on un cambered rd surface. I clouted the kerb in a beema a while ago (rear wheel hit kerb quite hard) and the steering wheel was about 10 degrees off center when going in a straight line Edited December 9, 2008 by Dnk (see edit history)
Pixelfill
Yeah, It seemed reasonably straight, although a very slight pull to the left, which I think (but I'm not certain) it's had for a while anyway. Hence wanting to get it properly checked. I may have been very lucky, as the kerbs I mounted are angled and not vertical. Cheers for your input Dunk. Mike No problem Mike been there and done that so no how you feel, perhaps take it to get the tracking checked 1st, if theres no damage to the wheels then you could have got away with it. When i hit the kerb in the beema it broke the wheel in half but only bent the wishbone slightly but enough to make it well out of line. It was a BBS wheel as well so not a cheap crappy job
DaveSupTT
I wonder if this place in Preston may do it. http://www.pro-tecmotorsport.com/index.cfm
T2 MSW
Mike, TDi in Warrington are good ask mr Ward i think he had his done there its over the other side of the Motorway to Mascrap i think Cheers -Ian- I have used tdi north yes but if I'm honest I was not impressed I got the distinct impression mine was the first supra they had done! They had no idea what to put on it and after my three trips back to get it right I said never again. When I got the tt I took it to revolution in Conwy and they were exceptional made recommendations for how I drive and how u like the car to handle. Well worth the trip in my opinion They use the hunter camera system and the system does have stock mkiv supra in the database

AJI
I know its not in Lancashire but RSE Motorsport is in North Wales. They have a list of different Supra geo settings. And have worked on many Supras.

Anees
I personally wouldn't go near TDi with a bargepole after what I have heard about them. I have used for many years Drury Lane Service Station in Oldham. http://www.drurylaneservices.com/geometry.htm They were one of Tony Bones (Wheels-in-motion) Trusted centres before the scheme ended and have a good reputation on Lexus Owners Club. jamesmark
Mike, let me know how you get on with the place that has been recommended, as I want to get my car done and can do it when I pop over the Sarah's G/parents (stays in Melling). Annes beat me too it, but i was going to suggest Drury lane as well. Well good service. But if you want to really sort out the geometry the only place to go is WIM in Hemel Hempstead. a fair trek but well worth it. Stav
