hi guys, i've been lurking on this site for a while...for the reason thats because i like supras very much.

but i've never posted before because...i dont know anything...

anyway, can i have some advice please.

currently, im using a HP laptop, running 512ram, 1.6centrino, a ATI9200 graphic card...and all the other bits and pieces.

here is what im a bit confused about...my brother is in UK, hes using my old desktop and has a bit of a problem finding files i saved before i left UK ( im in HK ). so, i asked him to invite me using the Remote Assist thingy in windows...i never used it, he never used it...

then via MSN Messenger 6.2, i get a message saying my brother is inviting me to use this remote thingy, but then at the same time it pop a message saying i need to update my messenger before i can do that, so i click the hyperlink to the web site( http://www.microsoft.com/windows/messenger/ ), and click download now, after the language page i click download now again and gets to this web site ( http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/sp2/default.mspx ).

here is the problem...i've heard bad bad things about SP2, things about once you installed it, you'll have to install all the drivers again otherwise your hardware will not work.

and the firewall thingy with the SP2 is kinda...shit, thats why i've never downloaded SP2 before due to what the people have told me.

now the question is...should i download the SP2 with the new updates for MSN Messenger, or have i done something wrong?

and should i get SP2 anyway?

i've backed up my laptop, so if things does go wrong, i have everything in hand to recover from it.

thanks in advance for any help offered.

im very sorry for posting as a newbie and for a first post its not anything with regards to supras but my personal problems, please help...
