Marco
Looking good! But 2 days?!?! lol
SkyJawa
Well it was prob about 5 hours yesterday and maybe 3 today. The first application is an ar$e as you have to wash car, claybar car, wash car again, add polish, then add gloss, then another layer of polish that has higher optic qualities, then another gloss Phew! From now on just needs a wash with shampoo, gloss every 2-3 cleans, polish every few months, and the more layers you put on the better it shines
Whitesupraboy2
it takes a long time to clean out the nights mess looking good though mate. Soonto_HAS_soop
Looks good, but is that a scratch on the bottom of the front bumper? Or is it a reflection of the drive?

SkyJawa
LOL Cheers chaps WSB - I bleeding did them with Autoglym Tyre Dressing, but it hasn't come out very well in the pics The lower front splitter is unfortunately scratched to buggery The car is quite low and it pics up scratches easily, though most are from my old suspension which is now replaced. I've got a can of spray paint so int he summer I'm gonna pop off the front splitter (as its seperate), rub it down and respray it, will look much better then

Havent noticed that before, looks good Oh and this pic... http://homepage.ntlworld.com/john.ambrosen/skyline/clean/clean5.jpg ...looks a lot like the one I took yesterday of mine! http://homepage.ntlworld.com/robert.pogmore/IMG_0680L.jpg
SkyJawa
LOL - great minds mate! Yours is looking clean too - love the wheels As for the bonnet - I have no idea! It came over with it on, and no one I've spoke to knows what it is or has seen another so we think its a one off, I really like it because its quite subtle (as you say about only just noticing it ) and different! SkyJawa
Thanks guys I'm thinking of having the wheels refinished Volk TE37 bronze as they need redoing, think they might look even better like that - assuming I can find anywhere that can do it! SupraStar 3000
Nice job mate. love the colour whats a claybar? Sounds like health food!!
SkyJawa
Its literally what it says, a bar of clay. You use it with some car wash and just rub it over the paint, takes everything off it Details here: Clay Bar

SkyJawa
blimey mate that is clean Shame you'll have to do it again in 2 weeks! LOL - wrong, its gonna rain tomorrow so will need doing again then!! However, now its done once keeping that finish is easy. Wash, re-add the gloss and if I want another coat of polish, as the more coats you build up the better
SkyJawa
2 weeks seems like heaven to me...damn white car. why does having the best colour come at such a price Tell you what mate, white is bad, black is worse IMHO, my mum had a white car and it was no where near as bad as my mates jet black Cupra R. Midnight Purple shows up the slightest dirt too
Trig
black is worse Very true mate. Its such a bitch to keep clean!
tbourner
Always wanted to clay my car since I saw a VW Passat or something done with one, it looked like a mirror!!!! Works really well on silver, but I just know I'd give up half way through, and a clayed car with no wax on top probably won't last long!!!
