tony1
I am in the process of doing full BPU on a 94 UK Twin Turbo auto and have got a K&N panel filer to fit BUT can someone tell me if the air box is the same on UK spec and Jap supra's. The K&N filter that I have is the same size as my stock one but the cage the K&N filter is meant to sit in does not fit the air box properly. So I am thinking if the air box is different on Jap cars I may have the wrong filter. Just for reference the part number for the K&N panel filter that I have is: 33-2054 I hope that all makes sense. Thanks Tony
Nic
The UK spec and J-spec airbox assemblies have different part numbers, not sure if there is any physical difference between the 2, I can't think why there would be. The actual filter element is the same for all Supra models and years, the part number you quoted is the correct one so should fit.
ivan
Agree with Nic - there's only one common air filter. That filter is the same part No I've got fitted in my JSpec, so that's OK.

JamesF
I fitted a K&N panel filter to my last car and they are an absolute tw*t to fit. You do end up keep checking to see if you've been sent the right one. That said theres probably people on here that have just slotted them straight in. Stick at it, and give it some grief! However, if its not wanting to go on, Ill have first dibs if you decide to sell it

Ben-san
Did you use the plastic cage that it comes with?
ivan
Yep. IIRC, the filter sort of fits around the cage at the edges, then the whole thing drops in - cage facing the front. I would get a pic, but it's still freezing out so you'll have to wait.
