Ryan.G
That graph But it is one awesome torque curve
SteveR
Screw the graph dude i thought you would mention the wiring first oops I know it's a mahoosive improvement mate. I had a few doubts when I saw the original condition, that it would be possible to sucessfully put it back to stock but you certainly worked some magic there
Jazzy
Curves have taken a nice step to the left, and that torque! Nice work
Ryan.G
Last thing i forgot to mention Steve is you need to fit a Bosch 040 pump as the walbro is struggling at this level now. Ryan

SteveR
Nice work, you have got to be happy with that:cool: It spools much earlier now too; It'll be interesting to compare graphs when the data is on Ryan's website. I'm chuffed with the power & torque being up, but more pleased that everything happens much sooner.
JamieP
Its all about the spool, 600bhp and fast spool is the ultimate setup imo. Ryan do you now consider the VVTI the best setup?
SteveR
I've just done & cheap & cheerful comparison by overlaying the two graphs in photoshop... Blue = old map Red = new map Dashed = power (bhp) Solid = torque (ft/lb)
Muffleman
Blimey Ryan, you're as anal as me with the wiring Great improvement mate, especially on spool up
JamieP
Thats a very nice improvement, i know it should be the same but would be nice to see a graph from SSR.
Pete
I did an overlay too before I noticed yours.

JamieP
Website is now updated Very nice, Steve iirc your cars Gt4088 is a .96? with a .81 it would spool even faster:) What boost is that at?
SteveR
Very nice, Steve iirc your cars Gt4088 is a .96? with a .81 it would spool even faster:) What boost is that at? I've got the housing from Jake to do just that, I think. I was happy with the performance as it was (for track use I find it fine, and the later spool is perfect for off-boost motorway cruising across to Germany or wherever), and it's clearly loads better now. Won't faster spool = less top end? I'd rather stay as-is if that's the case, I've only previously found it laggy to the point of annoyance when starting a lap, once you get over 3,000rpm it soon starts t wake up and once your'e out of 1st gear there's no need to face lag again unless you drop down to ~ edit - oops sorry 1.4bar Edited December 17, 2008 by SteveR (see edit history)

SteveR
Bhave runs a .81 at over 600bhp so it wont restrict the power. I'm confused now, how can a housing change give me more lower down and not change the top end? (P.S. I editted the last post to say it's mapped at 1.4bar boost)
MarkR
Is everything done now? Have you done the knock and traction bits? DBW and VVTi all working with the Valcon kit? Getting ready for mine....
