Guest sutters
Hello folks, I'm a new member so please be kind. Without taking the Michael, what does the collective think my car is worth? It's a genuine UK 6-sp manual, entirely unmodified, registered in 94 with rare dark blue metallic paint. I've owned it for the last seven years. And the bad news is it's done 115k. I love it to bits and don't really want to sell, but for the right price, who knows? Any one got any realistic ideas of what it might be worth? The Raven
7-9k IMO Service history? To the right buyer.
jamesmark
I would not class 115k miles "bad news". As long as the car has FSH, receipts etc etc then 115k is nothing. If you are interested in selling it then pay the £10 membership fee and put a detialed ad up with loads of pictures.
stevie_b
Well, you have a reasonably sought-after car there. Being unmodified won't hurt its value. I agree that 115k miles isn't bad. I would also say £7-9k.
j_jza80
I'd say near £10k at the right time, which isn't now with the state of the second hand car market. Very rare car you have there, as Toyota only made approx 150 UK spec manuals. I doubt there's even 100 left now. Being unmodified should be better for its value, especially with FSH. Standard Supras are the vast minority these days.
jazz1
you be lucky if you get 10k i know its uk spec etc but being that mileage puts most people off
Fire148
If its immaculate then you'd be doing well to get £7995, and if its better then £8500 ... But not until Summer next year (my guess as to when prices will start to rise by 10-15% )

Guigsy
that mileage is nothing. better a u spec with 100k on the clock than a Jspec with "40k" on it

I've had both and don't see the value myself but the market speaks with £s...

Tom
The French have been buying UK specs for top money lately, so I'd expect it to go there if it's a gooden, there or Denmark
Paul
The French have been buying UK specs for top money lately, so I'd expect it to go there if it's a gooden, there or Denmark They must know a good car then
jazz1
people think uk spec is faster, plus the insurance is way cheaper which is stupid because if the uk spec is faster than the j-spec than surely the insurance should be higher for the uk, its another way for the insurance companies to make more money. Anyways a supra is a supra they all have the same parts all over so regardless of j-spec or uk it would not bother me
Bobbeh
Its not a power/speed thing that makes the insurance costs different, its the lack of hassle with repairs, parts, car history etc that give them the excuse to jack the prices up for JDM owners. matt k
If you don't need to sell then I wouldn't, the used car market is F***ed, My friend just paid £35k for an immaculate 2004 997 carrera s, And my other mate paid £50k for his 996 turbo 18 months ago, he'd be lucky to get £32k now! Guest sutters
Cheers for the responses, reckon I'll wait until the economy recovers sometime during the next century. Until then i shall continue to enjoy my car for what it is, and hope it doesn't expire in the meantime.:)
