garycTT
My Supra needs new brakes all round, it is currently on Jap spec brakes which are useless! Dilemma is which brakes to put on it now, brembo/ap etc are too expensive so im unsure wheither to go for brand new uk spec calipers with 3g discs and endless pads front and rear or the same uk spec set up on the rear and something like ksport/d2 8pots on the front. Opinions please ??
Gaz Walker
I'd go for the UK upgrade on the front with 3G/Endless combo and leave the rears as J-specs, but I'm sure I've already said that Goodridge lines and decent fluid will be much better too - leaps and bounds better than the J-spec setup. gaz1
uk brakes are ample enough for the supra, 3g discs and cw fast road pads for a bit more stopping power maybe, d2s brembo,s etc are more for show than stopping power:D
garycTT
Cheers lads, The J-spec rears on the car need replaced (discs, pads and calipers) so I though i'd be just as well going to UK spec all round? Gaz, out of interest could you supply this set up? If so, could you pm me a price and delivery time? Thanks Edited December 2, 2008 by garycTT (see edit history)

If they are you may as well get a UK rear setup since the calipers are not much more expensive? Gaz.
garycTT
Yeah they have seen better days, would much prefer new calipers all round for peace of mind.
Guest Garfy
J-specs are far from useless if well maintained and fitted with good disc's and Pads, I have J-specs that have done a number of track days with no problems, I've also drive a UK spec car and didn't notice any difference in the braking performance. CarlT67
I fitted my UK fronts yesterday and the stopping power is immense, very impressed and well worth the money, I haven't had any fad yet and the brake pedal feels solid like a much newer car. I do have goodridge braided lines as well.
