No go!!

Got up this morning for my early shift, went out turned the car on and defrosted the windows. went back in to get ready and my gf asks me if I have music on in the car. Went outside to check and the car is idleing very low up and down. Got in to give it gas and it just starts to die then cuts out. Me petrol gauge is just past empty but there is enough in there to get me to the station. Any ideas to why this is happening??

I wouldn't be surprised if you have run out of fuel mate. They don't last long once the yellow light has come on......

Heh, yep. I've though once before "Oh yellow light, got 40kms..." 7 kms later it died.

Does the car start? or once it conked out it wont tick over?

just put a jerry can of fuel in and the problem seems to have gone. normally I have in the past run it down to the E which is below the mark (prob bout 1 bar on the fuel) it can do bout 10 miles (not this time though). New I should have got fuel yesturday, oh well a day off work!
