Lacoste82 Posted November 30, 2008 Share Posted November 30, 2008 I would very much like to install a 2DIn screen/multimedia HU, but my only concern however, is that im not sure it fits in the dashboard!? a double din is normally 10 cm high and 17,8 cm wide, and the "nearly" double DIN whole in the dash, where the standard radio was mounted, is only 9,8cm high and 17,6 cm wide! But is it a problem? is there some sort of special brand/model that fits better than others, im thinking of a model with a screen thats maybe a abit smaller than the "unit" itself! TTRickeh Posted November 30, 2008 Share Posted November 30, 2008 I had to sand the bottom edge of the double din hole down a mil or so when I fitted my Alpine W202r because it slightly caught on the edges when the motorised screen flips out.
