I have a weird thing with the overdrive light in my n/a,the other day it came on and flashed,I pressed the OD button on and off and the light went out.Drove the car for a couple of days and the light didnt come on,this evening it came on and flashed again, tried the OD button again and it stayed flashing,I turned the engine off restarted and its not come on again, thing is when you press the OD button off the light doesent come on at all.

dont know if I'm on or off :)

Pull up the ECU codes.. You need a wire bridge to do this, if you do a search you will find a how-to. I'd hazard a guess at code 42 which is usually a dodgy speedo converter or a buffer blown in the odo circuitry, either which way not a major issue to fix.

thanks for the reply,I drove the car today for about 80 miles and the light didnt come on at all,but I'm not sure if my overdrive works as turning it off doesent display the overdrive off light, also I turned the overdrive on and off at about 80 mph a few times and it did nothing to the gearbox, not sure what I was expecting as off is 4th gear and I obviously wasnt going fast enough for that, but should there have been some change with the gearing.I'm running the car with OD on which i'm sure is working cos the MPG is incredible for a 3 litre car.
