That did make me laugh (like you said, especially the cyclists), but I couldn't help thinking how p!$$ed off I'd be if it happened to me - I've always got my phone and usually my iPod in my pocket, they'd be ruined, plus all the receipts, cards etc in my wallet... Even if they are 'actors', I don't think they knew what was coming, as they all 'acted' very naturally to the 'joke'.
