Paul Whiffin
Our beloved RX7 is now up for sale. Originally built from the ground up in 2007, it completed all 4 rounds of Time Attack. Over the winter of 2007 it was again fully rebuilt from the ground up due to its continuous development program. As you can see from the spec list no expense has been spared on this car, custom made brake setup by AP Racing £3800, Ohlins 2 way coil over setup £3800, IQ3 dash £1500, that’s just for starters. The car is now fully developed so you’ll be buying a car which is ready to compete from the off, we’ve spent hours testing different components at test sessions to get to where the car is now. The best lap time at Snetterton was in the 1.15’s running around 500bhp with Toyo R888 road tyres. The car has made 650bhp at the flywheel on the dyno running 1.6 bar boost, since then it has been mapped up to 2.2 bar. The car is also road legal so could be an amazing road car for someone! We can also provide full race support at an extra cost if required. If you need any info on the car or extra pics, I have LOADS, also pictures from the build if required. SteveR
Good luck with the sale Paul, I know that Rex has had a heck of a lot of development and hard work put into it. Will you still be putting a car or two into Time Attack 2009?

Will you still be putting a car or two into Time Attack 2009? We're weighing up our options at the moment. I'll definately be doing some of them in my Supra, and so will Ben. Not sure what Steve is doing yet, he might be doing Nippon. We're all going to do a bit of the Toyota Sprint series as well, that should be interesting to see how we get on against smaller more nimble cars on tight tracks. I may speak to Bazza about the sprint series. TBH I'd forgotten about that. I'd like to do a round of Time Attack too, but I've been looking at the specs (car & competitor) and reckon I'd need to budget a grand. I noticed you HAVE to buy tyres from them, are they reasonaby priced or do they take advantage of the captive market? If you 4 (the rex, your Supra, Steve & Ben) might not be there then some of the appeal is gone, TBH. Sorry for going off topic but it's free bumps all the same - let me know if you want this chat moving elsewhere

We'll be in the Time Attack, at least 2 of us anyway, we're waiting to hear back on possible sponsors so that will probably be the deciding factor.
