Tom S
1) Bombay Sapphire. 2) Schwepps full-fat no nonsense stuff. 3) 1/4 lime, squeeze the juice into the glass and them chuck the rest in. 4) I use 2 cubes to leave room for more gin Prefer to have the tonic refrigerated to avoid diluting the drink and have a couple of ice cubes just for presentation. If the tonic is warm then a few more cubes. 5) Straight sided, tall and thin (highball, I think). 6) Nothing apart from the ice and lime if I'm at home. If I'm ordering at a bar I'd expect a little mat thing to catch the condensation and a stirrer to poke my eye out with. make that two of those barman i would be having one of these 1) Which gin? Bombay 2) Which tonic? Schweppes 3) Which/any fruit? Lime 4) Ice? How much? 3 Cubes 5) Glass - is shape important? Texture? Diameter? Height? Bombay Square Glass 6) Presentation? Banana, Flake, Hundreds and Thousands, No Umbrella Bombay and schweppes with lime slightly squeezed in it and a fresh slice dropped in it. Heavy on the gin light on the tonic. Make up the lack of tonic with a good 1/4 glass of ice. Glass type is irrelevant for me but a pre-frozen one is great. 1) Which gin? Bombay Sapphire 2) Which tonic? Tom S
1) Which gin? Bombay Sapphire 47% or my current fave Citadel (French & 44%, with a slight peppery taste, imported specially for me;)) 2) Which tonic? Slimline (tastes better, and just a touch don't drown the gin) 3) Which/any fruit? 1/4 of Lime, and a slice coating the rim of the glass for that extra taste 4) Ice? How much? 2/3 pieces medium sized and yes chilled gin too (agree Charlotte) 5) Glass - is shape important? Texture? Diameter? Height? Slim Jim (chilled too) 6) Presentation Straight up..... its for drinking and enjoying Next Overnighter I'll bring some, I have a dozen of each at home (the 47% BBS and the 44% Citadel), I also have some Mahon Gin and about 30 litre bottles of Plymouth Gin (41.2 %) As someone on here (DB, Turbonut) to name but a couple can verify! I discovered Citadel in a shop not far from the 'Ring

Gaz6002
Big question here is Which Bombay Sapphire Are you using Premium (UK Market 40%) or Imported (Duty Free Etc 47%) just thought I'd ask as you all keep saying the same Do you mean Bombay Sapphire or Bombay Original? I wasn't aware there was more than one kind of Sapphire, I know that Original and Sapphire are different drinks, using a different number of botanicals (Orig = 8, Sap = 10). Digsy
I buy nearly all of my Sapphire from airports coming back from buiness trips so it will be the duty paid stuff. I'll check the strength tonight - even if it is different it seems to taste the same as the home-grown stuff.
