Gazboy
I generally don't like e-commerce, I like to walk into a shop and exchange cash for goods. However my mum was surfing ebay one day when curiosity got the better of me and I asked her to buy a Korg AX3000G guitar effects unit on a buy it now 'auction'. Payment was via paypal on Wednesday night, so I expected this thing to arrive Friday. It still hasn't but I'm a patient bloke and they may have a 7-day delivery wait, thought I better check ebay when I read this: eBay Note: This user is no longer registered on eBay and: This listing (260315115477) has been removed or is no longer available. If the listing was removed by eBay, consider it cancelled. Note: Listings that have ended more than 90 days ago will no longer appear on eBay. So, am I right to think I've been scammed or just impatient?
marc_p
Just launch a paypal dispute and you'll get your money back, I think.
AndrewOW
Maybe wait the 7 days, and if you haven't heard anything, open a dispute through Ebay and Paypal. They'll track it down, and probably just refund you. It's a shame though. Somehow puts you off trusting these things, doesn't it? I hardly ever use Ebay now, I just can't be bothered with it. hogmaw
Give them some time to deliver before opening your dispute. Patience please.
Chiefgroover
I would be concerned that the listing was removed so quick.
Charlotte
I'd be concerned if they're no longer a registered user.
adnanshah247
Give them some time to deliver before opening your dispute. Patience please. i have learned the hard way when being patient. if they withdraw the money to there bank paypal will struggle to get the money back resulting in YOU loosing out! the quicker you do it the better. Whitesupraboy2
do a paypal dispute now!! If the guy emails you saying why, you can easily explain that it says your no longer a valid user. Any normal Ebay user will understand why you took your money back if a user account goes unregistered.
Snooze
surfing ebay one day Payment was via paypal Think I've spotted your two mistakes. I can't believe that the ebay/paypal horror stories just keep coming and coming......... and this is just a car enthusiast site. Doesn't that suggest something? Remember: EBay dodgy. PayPal very dodgy.
hogmaw
Personally I have had at least 2 or 3 instances where the seller is no longer registered on ebay after I have bought their goods, and still received the items. Ebay is not as dodgy as people make out. There are 1000s of legit transactions for every dodgy one. I have had plenty if not more dodgy experiences in the 'real world'
bigbloodyturbo
had exact same problem when buying a SAFC of ebay, won the auction for a stupidly low price and then paid immediately via paypal. It then said 'this user is no .onger registred with ebay' and everything else you wrote. I hadn't received my safc after 2 weeks of mailing him and whatnot so i opened a dispute with paypal. You have to wait 21 days for the guy to respond and if he doesn't paypal give you your money back, I received my safc 2 days before the 21day period was up. Going through Google it seems AcePro Direct were an online music (equipment not songs) retailer, I'm now wondering if they have gone under?
