Multics
Welcome to the club. Are you sure this is a 2001? It looks like a pre-facelift model to me. Not too keen on the VS kit either but hey...

Gaz Walker
On the plate it has Build Date 08/01 ill get a pic tomorrow. Its doesn't have any facelift features though (that is cars built after May 1996). Rear Light, Front Lights, Front Bumper Lights, Rear Quarter Lights are all pre-facelift... hoff
I have to agree with the above in that it doesn't appear to be a facelift car. But it looks very clean and tidy non the less:)
Multics
You can use this Excel sheet to find out the production date and the factory options your car has. http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=101452 Edited November 24, 2008 by Multics Typo (see edit history)
heartworm
They look like standard arches... certainly not veilside there
Mike
Yeah, imported in 2001 maybe? Welcome bud
RedM
Veilside kit, SZ and a shopping list. Ticks all the boxes that does.
marc_p
That's not a 2001 Supra that's a 96 or earlier, probably (as has already been said) been imported in 2001. Also it has standard arches(there not wide) it's just the wheels are the wrong offset. I quite like those sideskirts though, what make are they? Veilside FTW:d EDIT: Is Victoria really the place to be? I've always thought that Sydney was 'the place to be'.
TTRickeh
Apart from the Veilside comment! I'm sure my stock 17's fill the arches better than those, I don't think the wide sideskirts are helping them look any bigger either. You planning on keeping it as is? Congrats on the new purchase. Nic
Photo of the dash would be the easiest way to tell if it is an early model (pre 96) or facelift (post 96).
marcAB10
i hope you never paid the price for a 2001 supra if it's older than that. looks nice but i'm really not keen on the veilside bumper and wing. whats your plans for it?
Guest Zin2001
Heh, thanks for the comments. ill have to double check the 2001 thing, bet yea i got it REALLY Cheap so mabey that explains it. At the moment the plan is to have a TT put in to it with a new driveline + LSD in about a year. As for the Body Kit the previous owner used gasket glue to fill the gaps between the body and bumpers. /vbb/images/smilies/bbcode_sad.gif anyone have tips for getting that off? Stratty
Well done on your purchase. You have a good starting point for a project. Change the wheels, rear wing and front bumper and you have a totally different car already. NA - TT is the way forward. Enjoy your new car. Let us know how you get on, especially if you do a TT swap.
