michael
I see you racing one Cayman but I can't see the other Caymen you advertise *shrug*
SteveR
Don't tell me you beat a gt3??? He bothered one when the car was still a TT. GT3s handle very well but aren't fast Vs a single turbo Supra, and with proper geometry the Supra can handle just as well. I just needed to quote that, I'm not sure why though.
SteveR
I just needed to quote that, I'm not sure why though. My car was set-up by a Porsche specialist, who drove it afterwards and said - and this is an exact quote - "Your car is amazing. It's just so incredibly capable, easily a GT3 killer and on par with a GT2". For the record, I've also driven both; the GT3 was an ex race car. It handled brilliantly, mainly because the weight was so low, but it would have gone so much better with more power. The weight over the rear didn't help, I can push harder out of corners in the Supra than I could in the 997.

SteveR
Calm down dear, I'm not having a go. I'm not excited. (It's Monday.) Just setting the record straight before a Richard Hammond jumps up and down and claims the 911 can't be beat, evarrrrr! Decent geo and a non-tired car, and the Supra performs brilliantly. Most people seem to be more interested in 19" wheels than the state of their suspension bushes so wouldn't appreciate this.
supra_aero
Very interesting read - Amazing how a 15 year old supe can be tuned to be such a formidable motor.
SteveR
Very interesting read - Amazing how a 15 year old supe can be tuned to be such a formidable motor. My Supe is only 8 years old. edit - here is the write-up from my trip to get my geo sorted out properly. (NB: There is a link from my story to Ash's where he details EVERYTHING that is carried out.) In the medium term future I'm going to replace all the bushes as some were sticking; doing this will mean I have to go back, but trying to get the most from a car is a pointless excersise if your geometry isn't right.
