Pete
The German market is on in Birmingham this weekend so I thought it'd be nice to catch the train in and have a few of those fantastic large and tasty beers. We're about 30 miles from Birmingham here so I guess it'd be a fiver return or something. (It's been a while since I last used public transport). Imagine my horror to find they want £15.70 off us. That's £31.40 for us both! No doubt it'll be late, uncomfortable, noisy and contain annoying people. No wonder people still prefer to use their cars. ozz
lol, its is pricey. If I'm careful with my times I can sometimes get it for £180 (offpeak). I wouldn't want to take a car and turn up stressed and tired (hate driving in london). With the train I get 3.5 hours work done each way, I achieve more on the train than in work! The new BT mobile broadband devices are excellent, I get better connectivity than at home.
