hadyn
I recently aquired a original 1993 advert for a UK spec Supra through the power of ebay. The advert was from an October 1993 edition of CAR magazine I managed to get it scanned in today at work, so I just thought I'd share with you all, as its a nice piece of UK Supra history and I dont think I've ever seen this advert on the internet? michael
You should have said, I bought a copy years ago and uploaded it in January 2005 Did you get the 3 page version with the list of approved dealers?
hadyn
You should have said, I bought a copy years ago and uploaded it in January 2005 Did you get the 3 page version with the list of approved dealers? Nope just a two page spread. I received it in the post last week, scanned and uploaded it today. As said before, I've never seen this advert any where before. But I'm sure some anal supraphile on here will point out that its all over the internet or something....
michael
I'll donate the 3rd page to the cause as an apology for being anal...
SteveR
Cool advert. The bit about the traction control is bobbins though, clearly!
Marty
Shame the car in the picture isn't a uk spec ..
mawby
Does any of the UK marketing material actually feature a UK Supra?

RiceRocket
A wise colour choice £37,500 What brand new sport/GT car would cost exactly this now then?
michael
Does any of the UK marketing material actually feature a UK Supra? Nope, not even the official brochure.
hadyn
I suppose 37,500 is nearer to 50 grand these days with inflation etc (thats just a guess, Im not an accountant so dont flame me for gods sake) - so I suppose its in the same price bracket as the new GTR??? Babe
“It lets you brake from 60mph to standstill in 120 feet. In a straight line, even in the wet.” Ahh... so that's the diference between a UK spec and a J-spec!
Tom
Does any of the UK marketing material actually feature a UK Supra? I think I might have actually, I've got the top gear magazine with the review vs the tvr & m3 and I'm pretty sure it has an ad for this the mr2 and celica and I'm sure its a uk spec in that one. RedM
Cor! Didn't it look rubbish? They'd have had a winner if they'd stuck on some huge wheel and a plastic bodykit.
carl0s
A '93 advert with a facelift car? Hmm, actually, it's got orange front signals, but the facelift side bits. How odd.

Pete
3Yr RAC Warranty - where there's a waste of paper. apology for being anal... Now or just in general? I think we deserve a bit more than a scanned A4 page.

Kev.O
It doen't have the headlight washers which I thought were standard on the Euro spec. Edited November 23, 2008 by Kev.O spelling (see edit history)
Bobbeh
The washers were UK spec only.
