Guest Mycroft
The LSOC is bringing over the BLUE Nolothane Bushes for the rear most lower arm suspension point, these are the ones we have been trying to source here but were ridiculous money, they are about £30 a set and you would have to check (I'm not sure how) that they would DEFINITELY fit, I #believe# they do as our suspension bits are swappable. They are still the quiet ones (unlike the RED, which are very harsh indeed) They transform the high speed control and the braking stability is increased noticeably. It is only the rearmost bush that you need change and all 5 year old+ Supras and Soarers benefit greatly from this changeover. The biggest benefit is that with the revised bush at the rear of the arm you can (at last) get the full benefit of 18" even 19" rims, the standard bushes for both cars is just not upto the job of controlling the more abrupt inputs of the bigger alloys. This is not the case with the Blues, I can't wait! (Edited by Mycroft at 11:00 am on April 9, 2002)

Guest Mycroft
Done some number crunching and if you go for just the rearmost pair then yes the 19" is the limit, do both the rearmost and the foremost and 20" is more than sorted! Have ordered full set of 4 (£58) for my baby. Now where are those 'pure sex' Andrew Racing rims?
Guest Ash
Yep, very interested in having a set of 4. Please Email privately with necessary info. Yours, J [email protected]
Flavio
I'm interested too, please email me the details of how to get them. Flavio http://www.imagestation.com/picture/sraid14/p142c9363fa12dc3dab98011a9003dc88/fde38afb.jpg
francesca
I would like some too, probably only need the rears as I have 18" wheels - is there any advantage to doing fronts as well unless you have 20" wheels?
Guest Mycroft
Getting all 4 will greatly improve your cars behaviour whether you run 18's or 20's, you won't notice much if you are on 16's though unless you run hard compound tyres, which is unlikely cos they ain't got a lotta grip! They are made in OZ, (they lead the world in this sort of stuff supplying all the big off road stuff to the States eve) and if you want them then I will instruct Powerhouse Garage to order a few sets more, the bushes are the supposedly 'fitted for life' ones in the lower arm, they work fine for many years in Japan, but here we kill them after just 3/4 (sometimes less) Powerhouse are sorting out a system to remove the originals without damaging the arms and refitting the Nolothene ones, as to cost I don't know but as about 10 sets are on order just for the LSOC I'll get them to order half a dozen more sets for you, I will edit this post with Powerhouses tel No. and you can deal direct with them! Speak to Colin at Powerhouse on 0800 137 484. I would call tomorrow and get in quick, they will come over in batches. We are also sorting the steering bush problem too, it's about 6 weeks away, this is the last piece in bringing cat like responses to our cars! they are only about £30 to sort and can be a DIY job. (have my set on order anyway) I'll post on this thread again when they become 'real'. Phil Wall
I'll have a set of four please. Are you saying that it is not a DIY job to change these bushes?
Guest Mycroft
It certainly is not as far as the suspension arms are concerned unless you have some serious garage equipment and the knowledge to use it!, the steering bushes are, if you are reasonably competent. No great skill required just a few tools and a little patience. I have spoken to Colin and he will be quite happy to do the work (naturally) but he is busy so get in while you can! I repeat you must talk to Colin as he does the job and we are trying to arrange an 'exchange system' making for a quick turn around possible! Guest Mycroft
Flavio, I have just realised you are in Holland! (I once had my finger in a dyke, but this is not the place for recounting a rather sordid episode in my life) I'll sort a spare set for you and if you wish you can pay someone here you have met/know/trust to send them on. I think you should be able to get someone to do the job for you, or you could load your car with booze for the summer, bring her over flog the stuff to friends have the job done and have a little holiday all in one fell swoop, but i wouldn't want to lead you astray.......oh no, not me. Flavio
Lord Mycroft, Just let me know when you have a set for me and I'll transfer the money to you by bank transfer or PayPal. If I can't trust a Lord ... Flavio
Guest Mycroft
Thanks for that resounding endorsement, I feel .......... all warm inside, my problem now is do I trust myself! The order goes in tomorrow 6 full sets added, I know some of you will only want rear-most, but you may want to do the whole thing when the time comes and tyou see the condition of the remaining fore-most. No more takers? (Edited by Mycroft at 9:38 pm on April 9, 2002)
Matt Harwood
I'm interested too! Where are Powerhouse? Any rough idea on how much to install?
Ibrar Jabbar
Mycroft, I'll have a set of 4 if it's not to late. Thanks. (Edited by Ibrar Jabbar at 10:35 pm on April 9, 2002)
Guest Mycroft
Powerhouse are in Camberley in Surrey. As to cost I can't tell but he is not gonna take the p1ss, he has too much to lose with the LSOC work and you will be charged the same, when you phone today, he will tell you that when Bill has had his done he will have a better idea of cost. Bill is first, I am second, Mike is third, after that its a free for all! Use that number above today. THOR Racing
Being into electronics and not mechcanics what do these bushes do and why would I need them? In laymans terms please. Convince me that my aged 93Kmile Supra needs them.... Regards Pete
Guest Mycroft
They are the rubber/textile 'grommets' that stops the metal bits of the suspension hitting each other whilst articulating, they are the car equivalent of Synovial fluid in your knee joint they stop things knocking together. I won't try to convince you, what I can say is that even if you drove a brand new Supra, the Nolothane Blue would improve the car! It is entirely your choice. THOR Racing
I'm interested. Whereabouts in Camberley is Powerhouse then? As I'm in Stanhope Rd at Nokia so it's not to far away from me to get it done. Pete

eyefi
ive spoken to colin yesterday and he told me about the exchange idea. this wont help me much, being up north, so im going to get him to send the bushes direct to me. ive spoken to my man of the spanner and he can press them in for me at his works workshop. this should only involve 1 night of no supra action. Guest London Bill
As you have seen fit to BAN Mycroft (bleeding ingrates), I will inform you that the first batch of ten sets of front lower arm bushes are being despatched from Oz, Powerhouse are getting lots of enquires from Soarer/Supra owners so we can expect a back log for a little while. I dont know if this has been mentioned but you will need a full geometry set-up after having the arms removed.
Matt Harwood
Can Powerhouse do the Geometry set-up as well?
