nickball75
Hi guys, Im looking at removing my dash soon for a respray but not sure if should disconnect the battery before hand? I have a clifford alarm system installed, will this cause a problem if I disconnect the battery?
Supradoopa
I've removed my dash quite a lot of times and never bothered with the battery.

bigbloodyturbo
I disconnected my battery before taking my dash off, it said to do so on mkiv.com because the airbag light will come on if you disconnect the odo bit (big black bit above the dash with odo and warning lights on) without disconnecting the battery. Plus its just safer incase you ground something accidentally, it only takes two seconds to do it.

Stevo
Don't forget to reconnect your alarm LED too when you put it back on...
Dazzi
The airbag light will only come on if you turn the ignition while the dash is off

AdzC
I have always put my alarm into valet mode when disconnecting the battery. Never had any problems. If you disconnect the battery but don't put the alrm into valet mode then the alarm may go off when you reconnect. Ultimately you shouldn't have any problems.
