carl0s
Anybody have a link to the funny video for the Indian fairness cream? Not sure if it was "Fair and Lovely" but there are loads of videos for that and not that look funny as I remembered.

Gazboy
Do 'Asians'* in this country feel pressured to be fairer like white western women feel like they should have a 'healthy' tan? *Though Asia covers Siberia to Thailand, Turkey to Korea I think we all know what I'm on about. Guest sunnyG83
I am a British Indian and i have seen this cream in alot of people's homes that i know in india. Fairness in my opinion has always been linked to being more attractive in Indian society anyway. But then this is only my Opinion

Guest sunnyG83
I guess i does happen here also. I have fairly light skin but every summer i go on holiday and am always out and about so manage to get a tan which i personally like. But i heard one of my aunts mentioning to my mum that "Sunny use to be so fair as a child" yadda yadda yadda, and i said to her that i often leave the house to venture outside so im bound to get a tan lol. Some poeple are just strange.
benkei
Its very sad that indian culture in general believe fairer is better hence the cream and yea its in the UK too Why is it sad? Sad in the same way fair people want tans? Asians can get cream to make them fairer, and white people can get fake tan cream... Same thing isn't it? It's always a case of wanting what you don't have. That's why women wear make up and get fake boobs. If Asians find fairer skin more attractive, then so be it, just like most white guys find women with a nice tan more attractive. Funny advert btw! carl0s
I have customer where one of the partners is Caucasian but quite dark, always tanned so his nickname Raoul. They were asking for ideas for his 50th birthday present and I figured some Fair and Handsome might do

tbourner
It's always a case of wanting what you don't have. People with curly hair want straight hair, and people with straight hair want it curly. Apparently.

He should forgo the cream and consider his nickname a compliment - I am quite pleased with my tan
