Well looks like my PS3 is goosed after 8months of usage, ohhhhh the joy.

My PS3 has decided to stop reading all Game disc's and DVD's and it all happened when GTA4 crashed during gameplay.

Did a search to see if anyone else had this problem and was really shocked how many people had the same problems as me.

So its time for a call to Sony in the morning and get this, they are only able to offer refurbed units if they decide to replace my unit .

Happy days

Well i thought they were pretty sound on the hardwear side of things but when this happened and i did the search it was clear that this is a common fault.

It was bound to happen to me really as COD5 is getting here tomorro and i just sold my PS2, ha ha i gotta laugh or i will cry :)

Called Sony and they know about the fault so are sending me another one. Happy days.

Question though, will the replacement unit come with another 1 year warrenty

I not sure about this, but the hard drive became corrupt on my replacement (after about 6 months of having it). So i rang them and they replaced it. This was 18months after buying my original console.
