My PS3 has decided to stop reading all Game disc's and DVD's and it all happened when GTA4 crashed during gameplay. Did a search to see if anyone else had this problem and was really shocked how many people had the same problems as me. So its time for a call to Sony in the morning and get this, they are only able to offer refurbed units if they decide to replace my unit . spidermonkey Posted November 20, 2008 Share Posted November 20, 2008 I have had both the 360 and ps3 fail, the service from Sony was excellent, i had a replacement within 2 days, the xbox took about 2 months as they would only repair mine not replace it, ask sony if you can keep your harddrive if you want to keep any data.
