The Raven
Just got done writing my letter to the airport i work at giving my one weeks notice. Kinda scary thing to do but after looking into it i am going back to Insulation and starting my own company that will start trading in the new year. With the goverment offering huge grants to carry out the work i feel there is a large scope to make money and be my own boss again. Wish me luck folks:d

The Raven
Blimey that is scary in this current climate. Good luck with it. As crazy as it sounds. The climate helps, 80% of the work i would carry out is free of charge to anyone on benifit. The plus side to both partys. I get paid they get thier house fully insulated for free. The Raven
...and those who are working hard can freeze their arse at winter with noone bothering to come and insulate theirs for free Not quite no, The goverment will cover all but £199 of the cost in some cases thats a 450 grant. When i was talking to the big cheese however that might be cut down to 150 or even 100. Which you would save with ease in the first year. God bless carbon targets. I should add over 70s get it free too.

Ark
We got our loft done for £50 on a similar offer from the local council. Bargain. And we're far from qualifying for benefits.

One of my clients does exactly the same but a bit higher up the chain - good contracts with many local authorities! So far he's had about 1,000,000 leaflets and fliers printed off for this very purpose - the offer has been around for years but is becoming more popular as heating bills increase! His turnover is staggering! PM me if you want the company name and a contact - might be a useful source of work!

Well not exactly, my taxes are paying for them to be insulated whilst I have to pay even more to get my own house insulated.[ANGRY][/ANGRY]...
