Terminator
Some of you will know that I have done quite a bit of work getting the settings for RLTC to match the Supra. I offered my knowledge and warnings about the base file in the RLTC unit to the owner of another modded Jap super car. I even offered to set it up for him. My warnings went unheeded. The guy went ahead with his install and sure enough he got some elements of traction control. His car is now in need of major repair as he lost it big time coming off a roundabout, I estimate around £4K - £5K front end damage. I have yet to analyse his RLTC data, but my guess is, the file is not matched to his car, an experience shared by many first time users of RLTC on this BBS. I brought this to your attention as I know many of the newer members are fitting RLTC. The stock file issued with the kit needs attention to match it to your car. I have a range of files all matched to the MKIV, all you need is a lap top and you can install one of these files and make your RLTC truly awesome. Just message me or e-mail and the stuff you need is yours.
Barry
Phil, As you know I have JB's old MKiv. I cant remember if you installed the data onto the RLTC when he had it?! My TC seems to be pretty good as I've not had any real scary moment, well, unless you want to count sideways at 90 round the outside of a Range Rover!!! But the TC seemed to hold the slide well. I would like a WET setting that gave me no wheelspin at all though, more like a 'Snow' setting if you like, or simelar to driving on wet grass.! I do have the RLTC program but have not linked up my laptop to the unit yet. Cheers Barry oh, my email address is: [email protected]
Terminator
Yes your file is matched to the car. As I recall the settings provided with the unit were rather interesting to say the least:moo: I can send you a revised version of the file if you like, as I keep an original of all files I send out, I have John's file somewhere. See what I can do.
