tony tt
Hi folks im going to be fitting de-cat pipes and restrictor ring shortly to bring my lovely toy to bpu i read somewhere that after doing this it would be wise to reset the ecu! is it worth doing it or does it make any difference? is it something the plebs in a toyota garage could do? thanks any input would be appreciated. Tricky-Ricky
Just briefly disconnect the battery or pull the ECU fuses, resetting it will help it to relearn the new boost pattern, but it will only save a bit of time.
merckx
Remove the EFI No 1 fuse located on the left side of the engine bay under the black plastic cover, I forget exactly how long it needs to be out but 1 min will do the trick. Or disconnnect the battery like Tricky Ricky has suggested.
