R-TT
ideally wanted something that spools up quickly so wanted twin turbo but one small one big but cant find this so was after 2 small ish ones looking for around 650bhp as i think thats what the standard internals can take (correct if wrong)
Tricky-Ricky
" one small one big " that won't work for a lot of reasons, Those turbos should see you to 6-650 FHP with the right supporting mods, and keep a quick spool, but i also think you will need cams as well to achieve this, it is also on the limit for stock engine, especially if it has some miles on it. R-TT
yeah from all my searches the small/big doesnt work or very costly so you would say this is a good buy for what im after, just didn't know if these were 2 huge ones that would take a lifetime to get going. currently running full bpu fmic boost controller etc, mines ecu sorting fueling etc what else would i need, injectors fuel pump, cams (recommendations?) ecu recommendations? anything else? Luxluc
I have a single turbo (not exactly the power figure you have in mind, but approx 560 bhp). You would need injectors, upgraded fuel pumps, fuel rails (depending on what power figure your after), ECU (I would go for a stand alone, such as the AEM I have), cams (in case you still have j-spec ones), upgraded clutch (and eventually flywheel). R-TT
just had new suspension, got uk brakes wiv braided lines etc. buyin this bit by bit and stickin it to one side till iv collected all the pieces. but iv not got money to burn so as cheap as possible without cutting corners, hence why i was looking at this kit cos i have seen another kit in this country from tdi performance i think for 3k, just didnt want to get theses turbos and find there not what im after. id say another 3k after buyin this turbo kit if i got it. Tricky-Ricky
One thing you also need to consider is that you will need to budget for a pair of wastgates + screamer pipes, also intake pipework/filters, when you add that on with the postage, its not that cheap, also you are dealing with an unknown quality/maintenance, its not like you can give them the once over, before parting with your cash
R-TT
pipework not a massive problem as i know a man...lol but i get what u mean about quality, he has some good feedback tho, wastegates are a good point tho. whats my other options, sticking with 2 turbos? Nic
whats my other options, sticking with 2 turbos? If you're wanting responsive 600+hp setup I'd fit a dual ball bearing single turbo T-04Z. http://mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=159420

Tricky-Ricky
Not heard of any, as increasing size just makes the whole concept a massive problem, a guy in the states did do a twin T28 build, but a bit of a nightmare for plumbing, one of the reasons i went single, was to ditch the overcomplicated sequential setup, so i could actually work on things without constant skinned knuckles;)

R-TT
ok cheers yeah i read about a sequential set up on a skyline and it took alot of money setting it up, just like the low down power of standard set up, just want more power now..lol, did say i wouldnt when i got it

"Big sequential turbo's" is nonesense on a Supra. The reason you will see people running singles or twins is a personal choice, as you can get the same poweroutput from both setups. The powerfigure you have in mind can be achieved with a quickspooling turbo like the one Nic mentionned. Just as an example : my PHR stage 1 comes earlier on boost than my twin setup used (the punch of the 2nd I mean, not the small one).
